The full pound of the South Africa line — the same aloe gel as our 4 oz bottle, in the size a household actually runs on.

Aloe grows across South Africa's sun-beaten Eastern Cape and Karoo country, and the leaf has been cut fresh and used plain there for generations: the clear gel smoothed over skin after long days in the sun and wind, and worked through hair. Nothing synthetic, nothing dressed up — the same simple tradition, bottled where the plant grows.

Aloe Vera Natural Liquid Gel, 1 lb (16 oz) — over 98% aloe barbadensis leaf juice. Made in South Africa. Supplied by Africa Imports (SKU M-236).

What's inside: Over 98% Aloe barbadensis leaf juice — the clear gel of the aloe leaf, and very little else. Aloe gel naturally carries vitamins A, C, and E, along with the leaf's own enzymes and amino acids.

What it's for: The after-sun staple of hot climates for generations: smoothed over skin after long days outside, and worked through hair as a light, clean layer of moisture that leaves nothing heavy behind. The 1 lb bottle is the counter size — the one that stays out and tops up the small bottle.

How to use: Smooth it over skin whenever it feels dry or sun-warmed, or work a little through damp hair before styling. Keep the bottle in the refrigerator for a cool application, straight from the leaf's own playbook. Aloe vera keeps about a year; refrigeration stretches that.
